Can you give any asp.net control that doesn't display as html?

Hi everyone, is there an asp.net server control that doesn’t appear on the html page? for example, <asp: TextBox runat ="server" id="Textbox1"><asp:/TextBox>displayed as <input type="Text" id="textbox1"/>? I think you will understand my question?

The Literal control is not displayed unless something is added to the Text property, in which case only the contents of the Text property are displayed. Similarly, a Placeholder control displays the controls hosted in its Controls collection.
