How to Convince Java Web Start to Remember Password?

I am using Java Web Start. The file is located on the http server, which needs a name and password (this is a Windows server). What is Java Web start is (with a changed user and IP address):

The same goes for the MS Windows client. There is an option “Save this password in the password list” that does nothing (both on Mac OS and Windows), when you restart this application, Java Web Start again wants the password.

Is this a bug in JWS? Or what exactly is happening?
