How to reassign a character to call another function

Question

I have a shared object ELF, and I want to change it, so that calls to the system function are memcpyactually redirected to the user version memcpy.

I studied and I read about PLTRedirection and ELFInfection, but I'm still not sure how I can accomplish my goal.

Can someone give me a hint and advice, or clarify in PLTRedirection and ELFInfection
