Force application update

I am creating a multiplayer game. The user will need to connect to intenet to use the application.

I want to force the user to update the application if there is an update in the application store or he cannot log in and play. Is there an API for which version of the user? In addition, Apple will agree to this: you must have an updated application, or you can not log in and play?

I think the best solution would be to simply send the application to its version number and let the server decide whether this player should play. Thus, the server can be configured to allow any range of versions, or allow players with appropriate versions to play, even if they do not have a fully updated version.

An application should not know if its own version is valid. You just need to know how to handle the "Sorry, you cannot play with this version" response from the server.

[[NSBundle mainBundle] objectForInfoDictionaryKey:
                       (NSString *)kCFBundleVersionKey]

Will return NSStringcontaining the current version of the application.

It is reported that Apple rejected the expiration of applications. In addition, the device user may not have permanent access to the application store (parental control, etc.) after installing your application, even if they have access to the network.

You may be able to pop up a lot of announcements for the new version sent from your network server, which depend on the version number.

You can easily create a version number in your source code or read it using an application.
