How to place a background image from the center?

Question

I have a background image set to the center and needs to be fixed. However, I would just push it 100px from the center, any ideas?

CSS background: url (styles / images / bg.png) no-repeat center 0; background-attachment: fixed;

Creating a larger background image with a width of 300 pixels (left or right) shifts the background 150 pixels from the center. There is no css style in the background property that will do this. If you do not want to create more divs, this is the only way.
