If I am registered on my Django website but have been inactive for a while, it automatically displays me. Is there a way to stop it all together or at least increase the wait time to say an hour or so?
Try changing the age of cookies. There is a parameter: http://docs.djangoproject.com/en/dev/topics/http/sessions/#session-cookie-age
