How to disable Eclipse regex search / search hint drop-down menu?

When searching (in files) or searching (inside files), if you have regular expressions, and enter a specific character (backslash, opening finger, etc.), it displays a drop-down list with hints.

I do not need these tips; they interfere with the rest of the dialogue, and a stupid disclosure captures my home / end keys.

However, I can’t find any settings to disable it - is there a hidden way to disable them that I don’t know about?

Alternatively, if I need to change the source and rebuild, which files do I need to change, and can I do it in such a way that it does not interfere with the update?

(Eclipse Galileo 3.5)

I did not find an obvious way to prevent "content help" in this search box.

So what I usually do: prepare the search expression in any editor I want and copy it into the specified search field. A little cumbersome, but it works well enough for me.

Purpose: to avoid such a situation.

(Eclipse Helios 3.6)

Note: according to error 259592 , automatic completion is disabled by default in Eclipse Helios 3.6 .

ctrl+ space. A light lamp is there to remind you that help in this area is possible in this field.
