Source Code Analysis with Sonar

Can I take the source code directly from the svn repository and analyze it using sonar? Or set up sonar only to run Checkstyle or pmd for specific sources? I need to do this in non-maven projects.

Yes, you just need to write a maven or ant script to check the last of SVN first, then run the sonar command: sonar.

It seems that Sonar forces you to create a pom.xml file and install maven2 even for an unmotivated project: http://docs.sonarqube.org/display/SONAR/Analyzing+Source+Code
