Do I have a Chef if I use Heroku?

Question

I use Heroku to deploy Rails applications.

But I was thinking about training a chef to automatically set up a development infrastructure, but Im not sure.

So, to make it very simple, do I have any reason to teach the chef?

If you use Heroku, no, not necessary. Later, you are probably going to deploy to your servers, so study this; in this case, the chef may be a good option, as well as look at Capistrano.
