What is the difference between easyb version and specification?

I tried the easyb BDD framework for about a year and a half, and I'm not sure I understand the difference between history and specification (other than syntax). History uses data when syntax and script use description, this, this ... syntax.

Besides the syntax, is there any difference between the two?

Using one format over another is better - or is it just "use what you like"?

Thank!
