Is SharePoint compatible with Office 2010?

I have a website created on Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007, and I installed Microsoft office 2010 on my machine. When I try to access an excel file stored in a document library. This gives me a message stating that it requires an application compatible with Windows SharePoint Services.

It worked great when I have a Microsoft 2007 office. I'm confused about whether SharePoint is compatible with Office 2010 or not ...?
