Do Eclipse autocomplete behave like Visual Studio intellisense?

I would like to have autocomplete in Eclipse, as I got used to it from VS.

  • When you enter an open bracket, the selected entry is selected from the completion list (Eclipse does not end automatically)
  • If the first point is not possible and I press the enter button, I would like Eclipse not to insert brackets (I already turned off the insertion of closing brackets).

Any thoughts? Thanks Philipp

you mean running the code:

myMethodCall(<^Space

If so, AFAIK is not currently possible. Do you find a post about this in the Eclipse JDT?
