I started using GraphViz yesterday to visualize the relationship between some things - a project that I'd like to do for quite some time.
So far, Ive got it pretty well, but theres a few things that I come across, in particular, for the diagram to look good and how long it takes to process the DOT file - thank god I decided to use a computer instead of doing it manually on paper!
It seems to me that the reason why my schedule looks so cluttered, and why it takes so much time, is because there are so many entities and so many relationships (including many cyclic ones).
I read the “large” charts several times in the documentation and other resources on the Internet, but nothing specifically indicates what is considered large, so I wonder if the small size is as large.
Simply put, Ive got two groups of nodes (A and B), with relationships between elements in and elements in B. Currently there are:
123 entries in group A
55 entries in group B
278 relationships
? cyclic relationships
In addition, I am also considering adding relationships between elements in group A.
