We are developing several Grails applications and deploying WAR on Jetty. When we run each of the applications one at a time, they gain about 200-300 MB of memory, which is quite acceptable. But, adding any applications increases the amount of memory ... a lot. As soon as we launch our three applications, we usually end up in a crashed state of approximately 900 MB.
All three applications have Quartz jobs. I tried to increase the size of PermGen, but to no avail. And adding more memory to the web server is not an option. Is there an easy way to reduce the size of Grails applications?
