Aggregating and displaying facebook and twitter status updates on the Coldfusion page

Question

As an experiment, I would like to create a coldfusion page that will pull and display status updates from my facebook and twitter account that fall within the input date range; like tools like

http://orsiso.com/

http://www.threadsy.com/

and http://www.davidcramer.net/lifestream

I assume that this will be related to working with facebook and twitter apis, with which I have experience with mobile applications; but I never tried to do something like this on the coldfusion page. In the end, I would like to pull out other things, such as images, etc., But for the first test, just status updates are fine. Does anyone have sample code and / or pointers that could help me in this endeavor? Thank you so much in advance.
