Android exception handling

We are converting a set of iPhone apps written in .NEt MonoTouch for Android.

How do we catch and then post exceptions to be reported via the Android Market?

You need to use:

Thread.setDefaultUncaughtExceptionHandler(handler)

There you can catch everything and send letters, notifications, etc.

EDIT:

Check out these questions, basically the same thing:

ACRA ( Android).

ACRA - , Android- GoogleDoc. Android, , .

ACRA, :

  • ,

ACRA Andromo, , , Andromo, , , . ( .)

The fact that it also sends reports for applications that have not been uploaded to the market is a great bonus, because we can potentially catch problems while the application is still being tested before the user uploads it to the market.
