I am starting with Springsource using Spring Roo.
Q1 . Am I right in saying that Spring Roo automates a lot of boredom from Spring?
I ask because when I follow the tutorials without roo on Spring, I read that I need to make a significant amount of the settings and stubs that roo would make. I do not understand why, before roo, Spring will help reduce the load.
Q2 . Do entities need to be defined using the ~ .domain.whatever namespace. Do I need to have a "domain"? Can i do
entity --class ~.profile.PostalAddress
? Is Spring sensitive to the word "domain"?
Q3 . I would like to define the essence
Employee { long id, string name, string project, date startdate}
I would like to bind Employee to the presentation panel, where
- id - hidden field
- ,
- , db,
- startdate .
