Administration module is still relevant

I follow the drupal 5 instructions that advise you to get the Admin Role module . Is this module still useful for drupal 6?

Part of installing drupal 6 is creating an administrator account. What does the administrator role do? Does she work on this account and somehow improve it or create a completely different administrator account?

The module is still useful - although I believe that it is included as part of the functionality of Drupal 7.
