I am starting to work on a project that will require a lot of manipulation of images. I remember the impression that imagemagick was something better than GD.
Since I only have GD, I will need to install imagemagick, and I want to make sure that it is worth it. Can anyone clarify if imagemagick is a better choice than GD, and how much better is it? Does it have more tutorials and code, or is it faster or more powerful, what exactly and why should I use it? What is used by most people now?
