How to start using SwiftMailer

Question

I want to use swiftmailer to submit form results to a gmail account.

I am new to php (and new to ubuntu), and at the (awkward) stage I get lost even when reading the documentation.

Questions:

a) Where can I get the library? I placed it on my desktop. Shouldn't I go into some apache folder?

b) What will the sample message sent to the gmail mailbox look like?
