Is it possible to partially install the .NET Framework?

I am writing a fairly simple application that can only be a couple of megabytes. I do not want the end user to download 20 or more MB of the framework. What to do? Is it possible to download only the assemblies that I need, jit and everything necessary for the .net application? Thanks

There is nothing that would provide a build level for granular control, unfortunately.

However, if you use .NET 3.5 or 4 (in VS 2010), you can use a new client profile that only includes assemblies for client applications (WPF, Forms, WCF, etc.).
