AMD Fusion, how can the CPU and GPU use the same memory?

AMD announced the Fusion platform some time ago. After reading a little about it, I am both excited and skeptical. For example, this should allow the GPUs and processors to have the same memory. (and GPUs and processors are in the same package). Now that GPUs have a much higher memory bandwidth (about 10x processor bandwidth), and that the use of processors and GPUs is fundamentally different from another, the question is, how can this be done? I wonder if any details are known.

I also searched for detailed information on how this APU technically works, but did not find anything better than AMD Technical Documentation on this subject , which, slightly on marketing, provides a lot of good information.

. Fusion , GPU .

Like all other similar solutions, it will be good for everyday use, but it will be far from ultramodern 3D acceleration.
