We are trying to develop a real-time display system in a security-critical domain. (This is all at a very simple stage.) One option is to write your own widgets using OpenGL. The other two options are to use something like GTK or QT.
QT seems easy to use and has good development tools. But I worked on several real-time applications using GTK, but not in QT or QT.
Can someone point me to compromises?
