Card manipulation

Question

Given the set of steps (in Autocad, svg, or any other format ...), I would like to programmatically generate directions from point A to point B. Basically, I would say: "How can I get from room 101 to room 143? " (or for triple bonus points, from number 101 to number 323). Anyone have any ideas how to do this? I'm currently a pretty informal language, although I know that C (++), Erlang, PHP, and Python are the best. I understand that this is a high order.
