How to get rid of CRM 4.0 "new_" prefix

Question

Whenever I create a custom object in CRM, the type is prefixed with "new_". So there are any attributes. How can this be changed or deleted?

This is a prefix for custom entities and attributes.

To change it:

• Log in to the web interface with an administrator account
• Select: Settings → Administration → System Settings
• Select the Settings tab
• Change the Prefix value
