How to create reusable footers in SSRS 2008?

In my project, I already have several reports, and new reports are also being created. Now I need to apply a common footer (page number, common page number, username, report name and runtime) for all these reports. This footer should be such that we can modify it at any time (in one place), and after that all reports will receive a modified footer. Also the footer must be reused.

I tried such approaches as 1) Creating a report and placing it inside C: \ Program Files \ Microsoft Visual Studio 9.0 \ Common7 \ IDE \ PrivateAssemblies \ ProjectItems \ ReportProject - this allows you to reuse the template. But if the changes will not apply to existing reports.

2) Create a sub-report and add it to the end of the data area in the main report. This provides reuse as well as changeable features. But it is not possible to show the page number, numbers, etc., And also not to show the footer on each page of the report.

Can someone give me some examples of how these functions can be achieved?

thank

As far as I know, this is not possible. Templates seem to be one of the main disadvantages of SSRS.

This is not ideal, but what you could do is create an xsl stylesheet to process all your RDL files and add / update footers.
