Eclipse RCP file browser in ViewPart or Editor?

Question

I am using the file browser in Eclipse RCP using TreeViewer. It would be better to place it in the editor or in ViewPart. I ask because I need to go through the root path for the browser and don’t know how to do this with the view. Because views are not created directly.
