Resize Android widget when updating

I wrote a 74x74 widget in version 1. In version 2, I want to resize to 148x74. I want this to happen during the upgrade, is this possible? or should the user remove and add the widget again?

The user must uninstall and install the widget again. In fact, the widget located on the main screen is separate from your application - it simply sends update events, and the home screen responds to them. And possible updates are quite limited.
