Should I use the "Remove Module" menu?

After months of using Drupal for my sites, I noticed a module removal tab in the list of modules.

I always deleted my modules by deleting their folders from the file system (after disconnecting them). I was wondering if this is the wrong way to remove them.

thank

When removing a module, and not just disconnecting and removing it, you can clear the module after yourself, including:

  • Delete created tables.
  • Delete the system variables that he used.

You can check this link - the modules may have additional removal instructions for them, but it seems that most of them do not - why didn’t you have problems :)
