Best Android version control for apps?

So, I have an application that I am going to release as a beta. It also has an error reporting feature thanks to ACRA .

Now I want to update the beta version as well as fix any bugs reported.
But of course, I would like to keep the original released copy so that I can find errors and what not.
And then, when the final versions are released, I would like to do the same with every released version.

So, I need some kind of version control system. I'm new to all of this, so I'm not sure if this is the best / easiest way to do this.

I'v googled around, and there seem to be many version control systems with many features that I really don't need.
But while he easily copes with what I am looking for, I will be pleased with this. I also use eclipse, so something that works great for it would be nice.

I'm not too sure how all this will work, so any help would be appreciated. Thank!

Since you use Eclipse and all Eclipse projects use Git, you can use this DVCS (Distributed Version Management System) with your project.
