MPMoviePlayerController: Keyframe Problem

I have an MPMoviePlayerController in my project. The documentation says the following call:

moviePlayer.initialPlaybackTime = time;

starts from the closest keyframe to the set time. Is it possible to start playing a video from a specified time (not from the nearest keyframe)?

No, it really is. Temporarily compressed video streams can only begin playback on a keyframe, since interframes are dependent on the keyframe for rendering. If search ability is important to you, consider creating files at shorter keyframe intervals.
