How to split a folder in asp.net web application with win form client?

Question

In this asp.net web application, users can upload files to the server through the web interface. All downloaded files are saved in a folder on the server side. If I want to create a new winform desktop client (actually this is a WPF application) that can be used to upload files to the same folder on the server side as for the web interface, how can I exchange this file folder with this client forms of winning? Any alternative suggestions are also welcome.
