Will replacing a monger with a thin one or a passenger improve scalability

I want to improve the scalability of my Rails application. It currently runs on apache / mongrel (mongrell cluster).

Will replacing Thin or Passenger improve the scalability of my application?

No.

The overhead in your application is almost guaranteed to be in your application, and not in a relatively lightweight hosting container.

As always:

Test Measure.

You can solve only certain problems.
