Training a person in iPhone development

I am going to hire a c / C ++ programmer and am going to train him in programming Iphone and Ipad. I need advice on how to quickly train someone. First of all, I want him / her to create applications for normal and medium complexity. I don’t want to do too much time, because people usually leave work after 5-6 months. (We are basically a startup with 8-9 people in our company).

So, I just wanted your opinion about the time it takes to educate someone, and what are the best ways to do this. Also, what questions should I ask him / her in an interview to make sure that he / she is well-suited for iphone programming?
