Does anyone know which tool I can use to see which function in my dll dll takes so long?

If you can use the Premium or Ultimate versions of Visual Studio, you will have access to the built-in profiled tool through the main menu "Analysis". See here for a walkthrough: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms182372.aspx

I have had success using the RedGate ANTI profiler .

We use the Dottrace profiler http://www.jetbrains.com/profiler/ This is enough for most purposes. You can actually use ants, but my personal preference for Dottrace
