Just discovered that you can send free SMS messages through Google! So far, about a dozen countries have been tested (USA, Canada, Taiwan, Japan, Australia, China, France, Germany, Switzerland, Great Britain) - probably others.

This eliminates the need to use email verification to reduce costs on third-party SMS gateways.
