Eclipse: Running on server disappears

I have a maven project created using maven-archetype-webapp. As I use on a Windows machine, the project generated by Maven has "Run on Server", but when I create it on a Linux machine, it does not. Please tell me how I can turn it on.

I have the same problem. I think this is an error in the M2Eclipse plugin that appears frequently (but I still don't know what the conditions of this error are).

When M2Eclipse creates an Eclipse project, it does not associate the project with "web nature." I have a solution that is not very clean, but it works.
