To play videos on GTK + and other GTK bindings, you have many options.

Option: use a third-party library

1- Try using ogmrip-gtk , a set of Gtk interfaces that allows you to use the open source OGMRip library as a Gtk-widget.

2- You can use another gstreamer library . You can also easily use Gtk.

3- LibVLC - gtk. GTK LibVLC (- VLC Media Player?). .

Here is a tutorial on creating a media player in GTK + and GStreamer

Basically you want to add GtkDrawingArea to display the video and create playbin2 GstElement to play the video, and when GtkDrawingArea is implemented, you need to get the XID of the drawing area and pass it to the playbin element to tell where to show the video.
