How can I get rid of these shadows in my text in Internet Explorer?

If you go to http://mattculbreth.com or http://mattculbreth.com/projects.html in IE <= 8, you will see shadows around the text. Safari, Chrome and FireFox do it right.

From a look at CSS, can anyone tell how to do this better in IE? IE 9 looks fine (but it doesn't get the gradients I'm fine with).

Edit 1: I received this template from the designer. It uses the latest CSS magic, so I am not shocked by IE's better performance here. CSS files here and here and here .

Thank you so much!

Matt

Edit # 1: delete all "FILTER: progid: DXImageTransform.Microsoft.dropshadow (...);" attributes from the theme.css file, and you're good to go.

It seems that it is generated theme.css, several classes of filter used dropShadow, including .box, .navwrap, P.link A, and others. I cannot figure out which one really causes shadow, since they should not be applied. You can play by deleting them to see what fixes.
