For a more centralized place for numerical computations in Java, take a look at this site http://math.nist.gov/javanumerics/#libraries , which covers well-known libraries that present them in a convenient way.

What has been proposed so far is discussed on this site, as well as many other packages.

Take the time and decide the one that suits your needs. Enjoy it.

Have you tried to take a look at JScience ? I have not used it, but the people behind JScience seem quite competent.

There is also UJMP , which I also never tested.
