Jquery simplification graphs

Just found an illustration ( graphical) of the jQuery Easing plugin http://james.padolsey.com/demos/jquery/easing/

What are these graphs.

I tried to work / analyze Easing Plugin several times, but I never understand how it really works

Can someone explain to me how to figure this out?

Think of it this way ...

  • The bottom left corner of the window is the starting point of the animation.
  • The right side is the end point of the animation. The higher, the farther from the starting point.
  • The length of the bottom (or top) shows how much time has passed since the general animation.
