What OS can I use if I want to use the Intel Atom board as an embedded system?

I plan to use the Intel atom on the board for the embedded system. The embedded system will run programs written in C for image processing. Since its built-in system trace is obviously a concern. I was thinking about using a modified version of the Linux kernel. Any other options

I wrote my own O / S for embedded systems, so I'm not sure. But one project I wanted to try is uCLinux . Although this may not be enough for what you want to do. If you have more resources, you might want PuppyLinux or Damn Small Linux. All should have a C compiler that suits you.

Hope this helps!

ps since I am a new user, I can only post one hyperlink, you have to look for the other two, sorry!

The biggest factor you should consider is not your processor, but the rest of the hardware on your board. You want to make sure that whichever OS you choose, there are drivers available for all of your hardware (unless you plan to write your own drivers), and embedded cards can often have unusual or specialized chipsets that don't yet have open source codes available drivers. Only the availability of drivers can make your decision for you.
