Best choice for Long-poll / Comet in Java or C #?

Which own server is best, in your opinion, to implement a long poll / Comet ? The first target application is chat, but there will be other implementations - we mainly need push-to-client capabilities.

I restrict answers to C # or Java, because these two technologies dominate my workplace. Requirements, as usual: performance, ease of deployment / programming, configuration, ...

IIS + WebSync is a very direct, scalable, and extensible push server solution. There is a free Community edition that I recommend checking out.

Both Java and .NET platforms are powerful enough to meet your needs. If you choose Java: you can start with DWR , otherwise there should be a choice on the .net PokeIn side .
