How to programmatically select a checkbox in a document or MS Word 2007 template?

I created a document, and I can use Content Controls to fill out the document, but now there is a requirement to select a check box in the form. Is there a "Content Control Checkbox" or should I use a senior ActiveX cell?

Not for content controls in Word 2007. However, it exists as a content control in Word 2010. In any of the programs, you can use the ActiveX flag, but its use is quite advantageous.

Seriously, however, I ended up converting to PDF and used iTextsharp.
