CSS: do not overwrite, but reset to "normal"

I am working on a website and I came across a problem that I had been thinking about for some time.

Somewhere in the CSS file I defined "Left: 12px", but then some classes overlap. I want to set "right: 25px" on the same object. But then I have to eliminate the "left" ...

If it was a background, I could set it to "none" and then it was cleared - but this is possible for the "left"

Thanks in advance.
