What is a good project to become a newbie to practice PHP?

I just finished the basic PHP course, which was funded by my university, but it seems to me that I really need to put PHP into practice in order to become familiar with it and become more confident in writing it. Since I currently do not have work related to PHP, I believe that I can customize myself to make me more experienced.

Does anyone have any suggestions for a simple (not too simple!) Project that I could ask myself that would be suitable to introduce me to the language?
