Super minimalist plugin for MS Project: where to start?

Question

I was wondering if you can point me in the right direction before developing a super simple plug-in for MS Project (both in 2007, where the old-style tape is used, and in 2010, where the new tape is used). What I need to implement:

• create an executable file that installs a new button with a special icon in some specific section of the tape

• when the user clicks the MS project button, it is necessary to save the file in a specific format and location, and then call the batch file.

that he is pretty simple, right? It turns out that I do not know anything about this space - so I apologize in advance how trivial it can be. Note. I am not attached to a specific language - everything that will be easier and faster.

By the way, does anyone sell components like this? I don’t have to code this if there is decent material for sale there.
