(Django) Best Event Calendar Solution

I need to add event calendar functionality to my application, and I wonder what do you think is the best way to do this? Are there any interesting projects that provide the necessary functionality? Snippet: http://djangosnippets.org/snippets/129/ ? Write it yourself?

calendar.monthcalendar(, ):

Returns a matrix representing the calendar of months. Each row represents a week; days outside the month a represented by zeros. Every week starts on Monday if setfirstweekday ().

If you want your calendar to start on Sunday as opposed to Monday by default, simply:

calendar.setfirstweekday(6)
