Does Apple support Java 6?

A back, I released a Java application. While I was targeting it with Java 6, I realized that there was a significant Macintosh user base. At that time, Apple was not going to create JRE 6 for its users, so I had to make the application compatible with Java 5 and 6.

Now I have returned to this project and realized that I can no longer support these users; The sun will not let me download JDK 5 anymore, because this is the end of life. Therefore, I am caught at the crossroads; as far as I can tell, Mac PPC users still don't need to use JRE 6.

So, I ask this question: how do I solve this predicament? I still want to support these users, but I just don't have the JDK to be created. Apple released JRE 6 for its PPC users? Is there an alternative way to get JDK 5 (besides becoming a Sun business member)? Is there an alternative recommendation to support these users?

Sincerely, - Shirik

EDIT: More info, if Apple released Java 6 for PPC, how easy is it to get it? I ask about this because I still constantly see logs from my users that indicate the PPC architecture with the Java 5 virtual machine.

OpenJDK 1.7 intricatesoftware.com , , JDK; , , IntelliJ, Eclipse .

I run it on 10.5.8, on PPC ("cheese grater") with Eclipse 4.3.2 / Kepler, and it all works fine. :-)
(although, frankly, the new configuration is on the box, so we'll see how does this happen over time)
