ASP.NET MVP as a symbiosis of ASP.NET Webforms and ASP.NET MVC

I have developed web applications for several years using ASP.NET Webforms , and I still like it, primarily because of the RAD capabilities it provides. Starting from two years, ASP.NET MVC is now available as a direct competitor to classic ASP.NET. For some reason, I do not want to discard all my impressions of Webforms and switch to ASP.NET MVC. One reason is that I am also developing desktop applications, and ASP.NET Webforms is more like it.

Now I have discovered that there is a third approach for ASP.NET development: ASP.NET MVP : http://webformsmvp.com/

Does anyone already come across this third type of ASP.NET?

This is the official approach of Microsoft, respectively, is supported by Microsoft?

Should I consider it in more detail?

Is this a promising combination of both ASP.NET worlds?

This is obviously a subjective opinion, and it depends on the specific problem you are solving.

If you have a simple application that does not require a lot of ongoing maintenance, and where it is important to demonstrate fast results, I think that it would be advisable to use MVP precisely for the reasons you are talking about - using the skills of the team and RAD.
